Day 123: This retired F86 Sabre fighter jet from the 1950s sits in Palm View Park in West Covina. Until recently, I mistakenly believed it was merely a replica. However, I read recently in the city newsletter that it is in fact an actual aircraft, adapted for playground use. It was placed in the park in 1961 and has no doubt provided many thousands of hours of fun for kids since then.
